"Let's Talk About Responsible Gaming," part of the ongoing campaign to "Keep It Fun," will take place August 4-8 to heighten awareness of responsible gaming among gaming employees, customers and the general public.
"Empowering employees to spread the responsible gaming message is an important part of our evolving commitment to corporate social responsibility," said TJ Matthews, Chairman and CEO of IGT. "We're joining forces with the nation's casino industry to sponsor and promote this vital element of the 'Keep It Fun' campaign."
IGT's involvement will include posters and table tents acknowledging the occasion at IGT's main offices. "Keep It Fun" wristbands and informational materials - including a new brochure, "Talking With Children About Gambling" - will be available to employees. The brochure is a new resource from the National Center for Responsible Gaming, an affiliated charity of the AGA. It was developed in cooperation with the Institute for Research on Pathological Gambling and Related Disorders, a program of the Division on Addictions at the Cambridge Health Alliance, a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School.
