This event has the aim to become a meeting point for the games of chance industry and its opinion leaders, to examine the situation of the online and offline sector, learning from the best experiences and having networking opportunities.
Gaming Executive Summit analyzed this year the novelties of the sector in Europe. Among other issues, there were: the potential and consolidation of the sector, the commercial impact of the European legislation in gaming operators and the projects that Spain is developing, following Las Vegas model.
The conference program will have important speakers such as Bill Lerner (Managing Director Gaming and Lodgying Equity Research Deutsche Bank Securities Inc.), Andrew Tottenham (Managing Director of Development Harrah's Entertainment) and Tom Hall (Executive Vice Chairman Asian Logic), as well as Robert Gray, Financial and Economic Director of Codere, on the day of the inauguration of the event.
In his speech, Robert Gray explained that “the globalization trend in the gaming sector is just beginning, but grows rapidly. Capital flow and investments tend to globalize.” He talked about Codere as an example of a gaming company that has become international, financed by international investors.
He pointed that “even though gaming companies have preferred to develop in their local markets, at this moment they are intensifying their international look due to the opportunities offered by the market in other countries, the consequences of online gaming on the industry and the demand of profitability by investors.”
