The first TechFest conference will be held in the Congress Casino Baden on the 4th, 5th and 6th of November 2008, and has been fully endorsed by the European Casino Association.
Recognizing the need for a dedicated training event, TechFest will bring together the gaming industry’s top technical instructors for 3 days to offer technical seminars and presentations that will enhance the performance of casino technicians and dramatically increase their value to employers.
"My passion for all things technical is widely known" explained Slot Tech International’s Technical Editor & founding partner Randy Fromm. "Having successfully run more than 20 such TechFest programmes across the USA, Canada and the Caribbean, I am absolutely delighted that our proven formula will now be rolled out to gaming industry technicians around the world with our excellent partners, Clarion Gaming"
Extensive research on local gaming technical needs, together with expertly chosen topics will ensure that each TechFest provides a comprehensive programme, offering delegates a forum to be trained in key areas which will enhance their skills and know-how. International events have been timetabled throughout 2009 for locations across Europe, South America, Asia and Australasia.
"The gaming industry has been waiting far too long for such a vital addition to its global program of events" added Karen Cooke, Head of Exhibitions at Clarion Gaming Ltd "We are delighted to be partnering with the Slot Tech International team and the ECA to launch the first TechFest in Europe, and are very confident that both operators and manufacturers will give this welcome initiative their fullest support".
Registrations for TechFest-Baden open on 15th July 2008, and technicians are encouraged to pre-register as early as possible, as numbers will be limited. The Congress Casino Baden is only 26 kilometers from Vienna, and it is hosted by the Casinos Austria Group.
