Casinos Austria International announced record results for 2007

Besides, the number of visitors in the period increased 5.4%, reaching 17,5 million. “We are glad with the results”, assured Josef Leutgeb, Financial President of Casinos Austria International. “The two-digit increment in revenues and additional growth in the number of visitors proves the quality and potential of our worldwide operations”.

The highlights in 2007 include the addition of eight new casinos to the international portfolio of the company based in Vienna. “It has been a successful year for Casinos Austria International, with eight new casinos added to our portfolio”, said CEO Paul Herzfeld.

Besides, Casinos Austria International was one of the companies that supported Austrian Federal Chancellor, Alfred Gusenbauer, in his visit to the South American region of Mercosur, with the aim to search for integration. Gusenbauer had a meeting with Argentine president Cristina Fernández de Kirchner to generate agreements between region and the European country. Casinos Austria showed its interest in the development of business in South America.

Turnover for the companies belonging to Casinos Austria Group for 2007 reached a record of 3.49 billion euros regarding 2006, where they obtained 3.35 billion euros, it means, an increment of 4.1%.

The firm begun 2008 with the award as “Best European Casino Operator” within Empire Gaming Awards 2008. Besides, the firm is developing Casino Los Angeles in Chile, which will be concluded this year; on top of that, an important new casino is being developed in Hanover, Alemania, and Gran Casino Bruselas is being built in Belgium in New Anspach Center. Finally, they expect to open a new floating casino this month, in a boat belonging to the firm Silverseas, in Silver Cloud.
