The company said it had a positive result, in spite of the negative impact of the type of currency euro-dollar, due to the positive trend of all the divisions, mainly in the industrial activities as well as the operations in Spain and Italy.

The recreational halls with gambling machines increased its incomes a 18%, and casinos also grew, both in Spain and Latin America.

In bingos, the positive feedback of electronic bingo, the bet on the interconnection of the rooms, the growth in Mexico with 22 operational halls compared to the ten opened last year and a plan to open ten more halls on the current year, allowed this division to keep a level of incomes and results similar to last year, in a sector that had restrictions from the cigarette ban, commented Cirsa in a press release.

B2B division said it had a “considerable improvement” in its results, due to the “great acceptance” of the new models of recreational machines in hostelling, which achieved to exceed in 2007 the 29,000 machines sold in Spain.

Cirsa revised its following projects, and among them, they remark the opening of the biggest complex in Argentina in Rosario, in July 2009, already built in a 70%, with a surface of more than 126,000 sqm for a five-star hotel, a casino and convention center.

The Catalonian company is focusing its business in casinos, bingos, operation and manufacturing of machines, and in the markets it leads: Spain, Italy and Latin America.

Cirsa Gaming Corporation is one of the worldwide leaders in the gaming and leisure activity, and the first Spanish company in the sector. It belongs to business group Nortia Corporation, which comprises a second holding, Nortia Services.

Nortia Corporation has 350 companies, more than 15,000 employees and presence in more than 70 countries. It had operational incomes for 2,200 million euros in 2007.
