Visits to casinos had a 3% increment in Spain

With 60,500 more visits than last year, casinos located in the region depending of AECJ achieved 2,351,477 tickets in 2007 and a 13% increment in its incomes, mainly due to the positive performance of gaming machines.

Memory 2007 reviews a consolidation year for Spanish casinos, which, due to the public presentation of El Reino de Don Quijote and Gran Scala announcement, are experimenting the beginning of a “Las Vegas style” leisure model (with low fiscal fees and high investments) in the European context.

The document also comments the latest legislative measures approved, which are ruling the activity of a sector whose competence hardens and which is still harmed -both in financial and public issues - by illegal online gambling operators.

Besides, Memory revises how was 2007 for associated casinos and makes a balance of AECJ activity through its working groups, committees, informative and training meetings with associates, publication and issuance of allegations and legal notes, as well as other internal documents.
