"We are looking forward to another successful gaming event - showcasing the latest gaming machines and technology, and hearing from a stellar line-up of a select few accomplished presenters who are visionaries in their selected industries," said Ross Ferrar, Executive Officer of the event’s organizer, the Australasian Gaming Machine Manufacturers Association.

The exhibition, open from 12-5 pm on both days is complimentary for gaming industry representatives and media, and includes Advance Gaming Ltd, Ainsworth Game Technology, Anztec Limited, Aristocrat Technologies, Fortune Corporation, Gaming Inc Limited, IGT (NZ) Ltd, IndeServe, New Zealand ATM Services Ltd, Salamander Systems, Abacus New Zealand and K & S Security, Sprintquip/Enterprise, Stargames Corporation and The Department of Internal Affairs.

The conference program features renowned former New Zealand cricketer Sir Richard Hadlee, successful business leader and Sky City Chairman Rod McGeoch AM, and communications expert and best-selling author Allan Pease.

"Each of these speakers are leaders in their respective fields with outstanding career highlights, and we are delighted that they have agreed to share their experiences and opinions with delegates of the New Zealand Gaming Expo," explained Ferrar. "They will deliver compelling insights into business development and company strategies, leadership, communication and other techniques for success," he said.

New Zealand is home to six casinos, 630 lottery retail outlets, race and sports betting through around 500 Totalizator Agency Board (TAB) outlets and around 20,000 gaming machines in non-casino venues.

The last of 20,000-odd gaming machines at more than 1600 non-casino licensed gambling venues were connected to a new electronic monitoring system a year ago, and delegates will find out technology issues and statistics relating to the upgrade in March 2007.

The New Zealand Gaming Expo provides experiences to learn about the most recent developments in the country’s gaming industry, business networking opportunities, as well as viewing the latest technology products and services.
