The contract between William Hill and Amalgamated Racing, which trades as TurfTV, will run for five years. This gives William Hill the opportunity to show footage from the channels courses.
Two of William Hill’s competitors, Ladbrokes and Coral, had been an opponent of the new channel; however, both companies had no choice but to accept the new channel for fear of not getting pictures from major race meetings. Earlier this month, British bookmaker, Ladbrokes, signed up to the new channel, but before that, deals were already signed with Coral, the Tote, BetFred and Stan James.
