The switch from Sydney to London of all machine production, assembly, quality control and dispatch is already underway with the entire process scheduled to be completed by the end of June 2008.

Aristocrat Europe's Director of Operations, Stuart Brown said: “Changes in the global supply chain mean that the activities we are carrying out in Europe will be more complex than in the past as we allow for an increase in the range of product that will be available. In addition to an expanded portfolio, we foresee customers experiencing shorter lead-times and a greater flexibility in our ability to provide bespoke solutions.

The restructuring of the UK operation has in recent months incorporated two important appointments. Business Process Re-engineering Manager, David Wall has overseen the “PRECISE” project, looking at all systems and processes involved in the switchover. Danny Martone, who filled the newly created post of Operations Manager, has extensive experience of developing and implementing Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) processes and has in-depth knowledge of all aspects of new product introduction.

Aristocrat executives will be available to discuss any facets of the decentralization program from stand 3410 at the forthcoming ICE 2008 in London (22nd-24th January) where they will be showcasing close to 80 models for European, Middle Eastern and African jurisdictions.
