CAIXA Lotteries collection exceeds us$ 2,850 million

The growth compared to 2006 is 23 %. Until that moment, the best collection volume was registered in 2005 with an amount of US$ 2,488 million.

Mega-Sena is the preferred lottery in Brazil. It makes it the main responsible of the growth collection. This year it has already collected more than US$ 1,233 million.

Lotofácil also appears as the most prominent of the year, being the modality which presented the second biggest collection volume. With an excellent performance last year, the lottery already exceeded its goal, and the sales projection is of US$ 770,4 million.

The bettors were benefited with the increment of the collection. In 2007, amount of prizes has been the biggest quantity of prizes ever distributed in Loterías CAIXA history. Until November, bettors received US$ 856 million.

“We hope 2008 will be even better, because in February 2009 we will release Timemania, a lottery which is very successful for the public, because it is mixed with the Brazilian passion, football. La Caixa also aims to introduce novelties within the year related to the existing productso”, said National Superintendent of la Caixa Lotteries, Roberto Derziê Sant'Anna.
