FADJA 2008 visited Panamenian authorities and associations

“We are a trade event interested in the constant evolution of our commercial profile, keeping at the forefront of the public relations with manufacturers, operators and government entities, gambling regulators, with the aim to benefit the expansion and consolidation of the industry in Latin America”, pointed FADJA Director, at the ending of its visit to a total of ten companies with venue in one of the countries with the largest volume of operations, legal security and organization in the continent.

Raúl Cortizo, Executive Secretary of the Gambling Control Committee, belonging to the Ministery of Economy and Finances, was pleased with the invitation performed by FADJA organizers, to visit the tenth edition of the Colombian event, and supported the initiative of Colombian ETESA, headed by Doctor Mery Luz Londoño, which is leading a meeting of regulating entities, within the traditional Colombian show.

General and Operating Directors of the main international groups located in Panama, Doctor Juan Carlos Restrepo from Codere; Helios Navarro from Cirsa; Alberto Polo from Fiesta Casinos and José María Santamaría from Royal Casino, accepted the FADJA invitation and confirmed their presence in the 10th anniversary of the Andean event.

President of ASAJA (Association of Games of Chance Administrators), Antonio J. Alfaro, also received FADJA invitation and confirmed his presence in the meeting organized by ETESA as well as the International Games of Chance Congress, leaded by similar entities in Colombia, FECEAZAR (Colombian Federation of Games of Chance Businessmen) and FEDELCO (Colombian Federation of Lotteries).

Panamenian Lottery and its General Director, Ismael Martinez, also met FADJA organizers and accepted the invitation. He said he is developing new games in his country and is very interested in the opportunity FADJA brings him, in order to share experiences with lotteries and permanent bets in Colombia.

Licenciada Dianitza Franchi, President of ALAPA (Association of Panamenian people with gambling problems), regarded the invitation as an excellent opportunity to gather directors of the Colombian Entity of People with Gambling Problems.

José Anibal Aguirre was grateful with the great feedback and attention of the local industry to the different events scheduled for the celebration of its tenth edition, on April 2-3, in Corferias, Bogota. He also announced that it will continue the series of visits in 2008, in the countries that are part of FADJA markets such as Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia and some Caribbean islands, which have already commented their interest to visit FADJA, for the first time, thanks to the number of brands, products and services which will be found in the approximately 150 exhibitors.
