Online poker room releases Apple version

(US).- Leading online poker room PokerStars.com has announced the release a beta Apple version of its software that its feels will be welcomed by thousands of Macintosh users.

The Kahnawake-licensed site stated that the release follows months of play-money testing with Mac players reacting very positively.

The new software eliminates the need for third-party Windows emulator products and will be familiar to traditional Windows users as the current version only lacks the Layout Manager and Preferred Seat features.

PokerStars.com has also announced that players are to lose the PayTru VisaDebit card depositing option on the site from today. “As of December 10, you will no longer be able to request cashouts to your PayTru VisaDebit account from PokerStars.com,” read a statement from the site.

“All cashouts requested before this time will be processed by December 13. As of December 14, you will no longer be able to make purchases with your PayTru VisaDebit card at PokerStars.com.”

However, PokerStars.com clarified that players could still use the card to withdraw funds from cash machines and make purchases anywhere Visa is accepted.
