For in addition to Ron Rollins, Vice President Global Gaming, and Aquiles Mila de la Roca, Director of Sales for the Latin America region, Money Controls' CEO, Mike Innes, will also be flying in from the UK.

Ron Rollins explained the company's approach to SAGSE: “Last year we identified Latin America as a key strategic market, particularly for Ardac Elite, our bill and ticket acceptor that was already leading the way in Europe. And so, this year, we have strengthened our sales and technical support for the region with the opening of new offices in Miami and Buenos Aires; these are in addition to existing our Brazilian sales office, and our distribution partnership with Gaming & Technology Peru SA. Our high-profile presence at SAGSE is further evidence of our intentions in Latin America.”

The company is also a silver sponsor of the two-day ey!07 series of conferences that Yogonet is organizing within the event, with Mike Innes taking part in the keynote session, “Validators: your ideal partner when handling money” at 11.45 am on October 4th.

This session, which also features other industry luminaries, will cover various aspects of bill validation, including technology, bill security and the needs of casino operators. It promises to shed light on current developments and will consider future trends in payment systems.

Mike Innes sees the conference as an opportunity to assess the present state of the industry and its future direction: “With Ardac Elite, Money Controls leads the way in bill validation, but it's a very competitive marketplace and we cannot afford to stand still. That's why we place such emphasis on product development, looking at ways to make further use of our existing technologies, as well as exploring the use of alternative technologies.”

“One of the issues that will come up at the conference is the growing trend for casinos to retrofit new bill validators to existing machines. In this respect, Ardac Elite again leads the way and can be retrofitted to virtually any machine, in any casino. In fact, over the last six months, casinos right around the globe have been retrofitting Ardac Elite and, as a result, have seen a significant increase in their slot revenues. They've also benefited by extending the life of their machines.”

Ron Rollins summed up his hopes for SAGSE2007: “We want to meet as many existing and potential customers as possible at the show. It's an opportunity for us to show them how Money Controls leads the way in money-handling solutions and, with our strengthened presence, how we are now leading the way in local product support.”
