International Gambling Code to be launched at EiG
(Spain).- Gambling industry bodies GamCare, eCOGRA and the Remote Gambling Association (RGA) are set to present their draft of the international gambling code at this year's European iGaming Congress & Expo (EiG) Conference in Barcelona.

The need for a global set of gambling guidelines was first brought up at an informal roundtable gathering hosted by Microgaming and attended by a number of prominent gambling industry leaders earlier this year.
The code, which covers a number of topics including underage gambling, player protection measures, customer communication, advertising and promotions, will be unveiled to key figures in the online gambling industry at the EiG event at 11.45am on October 3rd 2007 at the Hilton Diagonal Mar, Barcelona.
GamCare, eCOGRA and the RGA are hoping the code will be adopted as the minimum standards throughout the industry which will be recognised by operators and players.
