La Plata University to homologate gaming machines in Argentina

The aim of this deal is to develop a laboratory dedicated to homologate the electronic games of chance devices located in the city of La Plata, in order to facilitate the queries of any manufacturer located in South America, which will be certified by the New Technologies Investigation Laboratory (LINTI) belonging to UNLP.

The assistants to the signature of the deal, were the Systems Director of the Lottery of the Province, Roberto Pizzi, GLI vicepresident, Paul Magno, GLI Director, Phillip Barrow and GLI business developer Karen Sierra, among others.

Karen Sierra said that “the idea of the agreement is to expand it in Argentina and then to other Latin American countries interested in the hoologation issue”. Besides, Gustavo Aspiazu, Director of the National University of La Plata, remarked the importance of this agreement “in order to make progress in the investigations of the latet mechanisms and regional technologies”.

He added: “We have been working for a long time together with the Lottery of the Province of Buenos Aires to start programs of this kind. It also makes us think in other ways of using the tecnnological improvements, to train human resources according to these improvements as well as the control requirements. The university is also a warrant of transparency and security within this homologation process”.
