Ameristar acquisition gets approval from Indiana Gaming Commission
(US).- Ameristar Casinos said its acquisition of Resorts East Chicago received approval from the Indiana Gaming Commission. The casino operator agreed in April to buy the riverboat from Resorts International Holdings for us$ 675 million.

The commission approved the transfer of ownership interest in the Resorts East Chicago casino license to Ameristar at a Thursday meeting.
Ameristar plans to rebrand the riverboat to its name within 12 months and will rework its food and beverage products, casino floor games and other components.
The acquisition is expected to close next week.
