Norris Goudy, General Manager of Sales & Marketing commented that the show's results were a testimony to the increased brand acceptance of IGT and that venues now recognised that by partnering with IGT they could achieve increased revenues and player retention.

He commented: “This AGE is the culmination of 3 years commitment to persistent and strategic product development. Our product offering for the domestic markets are well rounded and provides both depth and range. Further, there is a clear precedence that IGT games perform. Now is the time to partner with IGT and increase your gaming revenues.”

In further diversifying their product offering the display of IGT Systems was a success for the company and confirmed to the market that the company is now a serious player in this gaming technology sector.

The AGE showcased a live demonstration of IGT's available venue management systems. IGT Systems' greatest benefit is that their solutions are packaged for venues of all sizes which ensures venues can cost effectively access the functionality they need.

For the first time in Australasia IGT showed their newly developed M-P Series, a multi terminal gaming concept that will allow IGT Australia to enter this competitive yet popular market segment by mid 2008. The product attracted a high level of interest from Club and Australia-wide Casino venues who expressed intent to install this style of product in the next 12 months.

Whilst IGT is not first to market with a multi player concept, feedback indicated that the release of Golden Baccarat and Roulette Revolution will ‘raise the bar' in this market segment.

IGT has further expanded their suite of poker machine games displaying over 20 new released concepts. It also released further concepts including Oriental Treasures a stand alone, dual level symbol driven progressive, to build on the success of the Double Diamond Series.

IGT's success in the 10c and 20c game market is attributed to their specifically developed maths and features for these denomination segments rather than the one size fits all approach of providing a 1c or 2c game as a 10c or 20c game. This strategy allows the game features and pay rates to be more attractive to the “bigger bettor” target market subsequently growing machine profitability.

At this time, IGT believe they are the only manufacturer dedicated to expanding the mid denomination product sector. Norris Goudy said: “Games such as Pot of Gold, Wings of Egypt, Silver Knight and Burning Sands have proven to be highly successful in the domestic market and customers look to IGT now as the leader in this category”.

In closing another AGE show, Managing Director of IGT, Andrew Hely was delighted with the customer reaction to the company's product and the market positioning of the ever growing Australian gaming operation.

“IGT is the world leader in gaming machines. We live up to our claims of delivering global strength with a local focus. The growth we are currently enjoying is testimony to this. Our approach of partnering with venues is ensuring our relationships are mutually profitable and built on the premise of longevity,” he concluded.
