Under the agreement, FutureLogic will supply its GEN-2 gaming thermal printer and other FutureLogic products, according to Octavian's requirements, from facilities worldwide. It will also have “first refusal” to supply additional thermal ticket technology to Octavian and to third party manufacturers working with Octavian to deliver gaming solutions.
Although specific target markets have yet to be confirmed, the deal will support the growing range of Octavian ticket-based applications in Latin America, the Chinese VLT market and other emerging gaming markets.
Commenting on the agreement, Brett Clark, General Manager of Octavian's OctaSupplies division, said: “Ticket-based gaming is an increasingly important part of Octavian's worldwide business. This deal will enable us to deliver the highest levels of integration between our gaming applications and thermal printing technology, which will benefit operators and their customers.”
Dan Turner, Business Development Manager at FutureLogic added: “We already enjoy an excellent relationship, having worked very closely with Octavian in Europe and Russia for a number of years. We have complementary products and similar ambitions in the worldwide gaming market, so it makes sense to formalise the way we work together."
