(Canada).- Magna Entertainment Corp. CEO Michael Neuman is leaving the company after just four months on the job. He is leaving to pursue other opportunities, according to a news release.

Frank Stronach, Magna chairman, will assume Neuman’s duties while the company searches for a replacement. Ontario, Canada-based Magna Entertainment is North America’s largest owner and operator of horse racetracks.

The company operates a joint venture, TrackNet Media Group, with Louisville-based Churchill Downs. TrackNet sells horse-racing simulcast content to racetracks, off-track betting facilities, casinos and other providers of Internet and telephone account wagering systems.

Churchill also has a 50 percent stake in Magna’s horse-racing television channel, HRTV.
