G2E Asia gaming show a major success for Gaming Partners International

The stand was attended by Gerard P. Charlier, President and CEO, and Christophe Leparoux, the company's International Sales and Marketing Manager.

On display was a new collection of very innovative jetons and plaques featuring new materials and finishes, styles and shapes that expands drastically the choice of options at cost effective price for these state-of-the-art products widely used in casinos in Macau and throughout Europe and Asia.

Beyond the demonstrations of the RFID Mini Table-top Authenticator that provides an easy way for the dealer to authenticate and value the chips, the highlight on GPI booth was the newly released Electronic Chips Surveillance (ECS) system, presented for the first time in Asia in its final version.

The ECS system is an exclusive and innovative application of the RFID technology aimed at preventing gaming chips pilferage by casino staff. The RFID tags embedded in the chips trigger an alarm when stolen chips are taken through electronic sensor gates. This combines the operational benefits of the 125 KHz frequency with the security protection against employee theft. During the show, the system received much attention from operators already equipped with low frequency enabled chips as a very effective way to yet maximize their investment in the 125KHz technology.

“We are very satisfied with our participation to this year event” declared Christophe Leparoux. “The Macau market is of course very important for GPI but this show was also the opportunity to meet customers from many others Asian countries. We are particularly thrilled by the interest expressed in our ECS system by many customers”.

GPI is currently supplying all the casino operators in Macau where it boasts a very dominant market share.
