DEQ and Shuffle Master announce global joint licensing agreement

Besides, Shuffle Master has granted DEQ a non-exclusive sublicense to the Progressive Gaming International Corporation (PGIC) jackpot wagering hardware and method patents for which Shuffle Master obtained the last license rights in October 2006.

Under the terms of the agreement, each of the license and sublicense will terminate when the last related patent expires. Specific financial terms were not disclosed.

The DEQ G3 Table Game Bonusing and Jackpot System is a credit based multiple betting electronic side betting system for live and electronic casino games that utilizes various hardware and software components. It is a fully adaptable and customizable networked platform that enhances table game play with a variety of side betting, bonusing and random prize options including Magic Card et Lucky Player prizes.

The licensing agreement enables DEQ to utilize the PGIC patents on non-Shuffle Master table games and related products utilizing the G3 system worldwide, and allows Shuffle Master to be the exclusive provider of the G3 system on its suite of more than 4500 table game products including its live specialty games and multi-player electronic platforms that would include but not be limited to mobile betting and that, in most territories worldwide.
