National attorneys Luiz Fernando Lessa and José Augusto Vagos also wish that registrations that have already been performed are cancelled, too. According to the Public Ministry, Law 9.982/2000 determined the end of authorizations for the bingo operation in the country on December 30th, 2002.

From that moment, those bingo halls do not have a legislation to regulate their operation. Public Ministry also names the Law of Penal Contravention, which prohibits the games of chance operation and guarantees that draw games must be only operated by federal lotteries.

National attorneys also recommend the National Department of Trade Register Office to bring the same requirements to the commercial entities of the rest of Brazilian states. The Commercial Board and the National Department of Trade Register Office have 60 days to inform the Public Ministry the compliance of the recommendation.
