GPI supplied several sets of the state-of-the-art B&G plaques using high frequency RFID technology from Magellan. The order was also for all of the wheelchecks with its Bud Jones (R) roulette chips
Regarding this operation, Gerard P. Charlier, president and chief executive officer of GPI, said: "We are extremely proud to have been selected by an operator as prominent as Crown Macau for such an important casino opening. We believe that we are effectively leveraging our leadership in the broader casino currency market and we expect to create additional growth opportunities such as expanding our presence in the expanding market for RFID. We believe this order underscores GPI’s position as a leading provider of RFID technology to the gaming industry and we look forward to helping make the operation of Crown Macau a success."
On the other hand, Christophe Leparoux, GPI’s International Sales and Marketing Manager, added: "GPI plaques are unique when it comes to security, quality, durability and class. Both players and casinos expect a plaque to be much more than a piece of printed plastic, and we believe our B&G plaques provide a sense of distinction."
Crown Macau, which held the opening ceremony of its 220 table games on May 12, is another casino supplied by GPI in Macau where the company has a significant market share, as it has previously provided chips and/or plaques to all of the current casino operators in this Chinese territory.
