Deputy Pablo Lorenzini says that things have been arbitrary and there were irregularities, but he adds: “The law is so comprehensive that they have interpreted things in their own way”.
Among other things, it is said that there could be a possible concealment of relevant background to determine the qualifications of the companies that applied for the process, lack of transparency of the Casino Superintendence (SCJ) and release of classified information in the pre-qualification process.
“In the Tenth Region, a casino in Castro City had more points and then, due to the intervention of the regional mayor, a second evaluation was held, which benefits the city of Osorno”, explains the UDI representative Claudio Alvarado.
There was also a change in the deadlines, constructions and investments in casinos that had been previously granted. The decision to ask for the dismissal of the casino authority should pass by the House of Representatives, which would define the changes in the law and the future of the superindentent.
