eBet Limited appointed new director

(Australia).- eBet Limited announced that Ian James agreed to join the Board as a Non-Executive Director of eBet Limited, subject to normal regulatory and shareholder approval.

Ian James is a former partner of Mallesons Stephen Jaques, a leading international commercial law firm that focuses on advising major corporations and financial institutions. His commercial experience over the past 25 years has been gained in the United Kingdom, Hong Kong and Australia markets.

He was a founding shareholder of eBet and has closely followed its progress since listing. More recently, His company has been advising eBet as it undertakes the

acquisition of Octavian International Limited.

eBet Chairman, Michael Hale, welcomed James to the Board, adding that “eBet will benefit greatly from Ian's legal expertise and business acumen. His contribution to date on the acquisition of Octavian has been invaluable. Ian also has very strong governance expertise and, as eBet expands internationally, will help the Board handle the multitude of regulatory regimes.”

James said “eBet has turned the corner under CEO & Managing Director Tony Toohey, and is poised for growth in its home and overseas markets with an increased portfolio of revenue enhancing products."
