The five-year communications contract will run through June 30, 2012, and also provides for three one-year extension options exercisable by the Missouri Lottery, and five one-year extension periods on mutual agreement of both parties.

"This allows Gtech to deliver the best wireless communications technologies with an eye on the special needs of our Lottery."
Under the terms of the contract, Gtech will install and maintain a VSAT wireless communications system, providing the most secure and reliable data connection between the host computer and 3,000 lottery retailers throughout the state of Missouri. With respect to this contract, Gtech expects to receive revenues of approximately us$ 11 million over the five-year contract term.
Gtech has been providing online equipment and services to the Missouri Lottery since 1991, and was recently chosen to provide the Lottery with 550 Instant Ticket Vending Machines (ITVMs). Since its inception, the Missouri Lottery has returned more than us$ 2.9 billion to the state and its public education programs.
