According to the Commission, the aim of the “surgery” is to provide parties the opportunity to clarify issues and discuss individual applications in a confidential one-to-one basis.

Practical help will also be offered on filling in application forms correctly. Commission staff will also answer questions as well as explain crucial dates to meet when applying for licences, depending on whether businesses are new or have existing permits.
