Security and risk management are top priorities for lotteries all over the world. The WLA's Security & Risk Management Committee draws on the experience of lottery security professionals throughout the world in an attempt to answer these questions.
This seminar - the first WLA security seminar in Latin America - will provide an overview of worldwide best practice in lottery security and risk management. Presentations and discussion sessions will cover topics ranging from physical security, data security and intrusion protection to fraud and business continuity.
The new release of the WLA Security Control Standards will also be presented. These standards complement ISO 27001 and provide a globally recognized baseline for lottery organizations. A special session will outline the benefits of the WLA Standards and explain how CIBELAE members can become certified.
Experts from inside and outside the lottery and gaming world will give presentations. There will be plenty of time for discussions in plenary sessions and in smaller groups. Case studies will also be discussed in breakout sessions.
Topics will include physical security issues, technology security (intrusion protection, Internet fraud, etc.), examples of frauds and scams in the lottery business, scratch card security, business continuity and disaster recovery plans, crisis management, the WLA Security Control Standards-
