Users were asked to assess operations in four categories: Overall Impression, Friendliness, Gaming Mix and Additional Services. This year saw Grand Casino Bern emerge as overall winner, receiving the top mark for "Overall Impression". This was the second year in succession that such a survey had been carried out, with last year’s title also going to a Casinos Austria International operation, Grand Casino Luzern.
"We would like to congratulate Grand Casino Bern on this achievement," said Paul Herzfeld, CEO of Casinos Austria International. "It recognizes the hard work put in by all the team and emphasizes the high quality of our operations in Switzerland."
Grand Casino Bern is part of the Kursaal Bern complex and enjoys an enviable location in the historic Swiss capital, with panoramic vistas extending from the old town (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) to the distant snow-capped Alps. In addition to the casino, the complex encompasses the 4-star Hotel Allegro, several bars and restaurants, including the award-winning Meridiano with 16 Gault Millau points, and extensive congress and banqueting facilities.
The casino features 14 gaming tables and 261 cashless slot machines with 60 different games, including the Swiss Jackpot, Europe’s biggest jackpot prize.
A leading player in the global casino industry, Casinos Austria International and its partners currently operate 72 casinos in 18 countries and on board 10 international cruise liners. These include six casinos in Switzerland: Grand Casino Luzern, Grand Casino Bern, Grand Casino St. Gallen, Casino St. Moritz, Casino Zürichsee and Casino Schaffhausen.
