Italian Saint Vincent Casino and Cogetech signed an agreement

(Italy).- The Casino of Saint Vincent, in northern Italy, and Italian gaming operator Cogetech, have signed an agreement for the development of synergies in the gaming industry, particularly in the online and gambling games sector.

The agreement envisages the setting up of a company which will look for new business opportunities. Cogetech is a joint venture company of Italian Cogemat and of US gaming services group Gtech, a unit of Italian lottery operator Lottomatica SpA. Cogetech employs 80 and has eight offices in Italy.

The Saint Vincent Casino, 99 percent owned by the northern region of Valle d’Aosta, employs 780 and posted a turnover of 115 million euro for 2006. The Casino was the first in Italy to import US games, including Black Jack, Slot Machines, Punto Banco and Craps, in 1983.

The agreement is part of the development strategy of Cogetech, which is open to new growth opportunities and wishes to constantly improve its products, the company’s CEO, Fabio Schiavolin, said.
