In an important new development, the Microgaming software - currently in Beta, requires no separate download; players simply register an alias for regular Viper player accounts that can be used for MPV play. Viper software is used across many of Microgaming's most popular games and has been one of the most versatile, popular and intuitive gaming software packages in the history of the industry.
The adopted player alias will be unique across the Microgaming Poker and Casino Networks for ease of use and quick access to play. If a player has a poker alias already they are able to use this as their MPV alias.
The first phase of Microgaming's new MPV product will contain slot tournaments, the popularity of which has increased greatly over the years due to their fast pace and excitement. Slot tournaments offer the fun associated with normal slot games, but with MPV, the added attraction lies in players competing against each other for the winner's prize.
This first release on Royal Vegas has two slots; Thunderstruck and Tomb Raider. Tomb Raider's enduring popularity has made it a hit across all gaming platforms and the franchise will now go from strength to strength as it entertains thousands via multi-play.
John Hughes, Director of Marketing, Royal Vegas says, "We are delighted with the way MPV has performed during early testing and are confident that it will give Royal Vegas players a new dimension in gaming that they will want to be a part of. We want this to be the start of new gaming communities and think that it can achieve this while attracting new players to our site."
Roger Raatgever, CEO, Microgaming, adds, "We are constantly striving to stay ahead with new software development and are delighted that Royal Vegas is our debut partner. We are at the beginning of MPV but it is very much a case of watch this space. Once rolled out across all our operators we will aim for the largest slot tournament community and largest tournament jackpot. But that's just the beginning; we have other games in the pipeline - meanwhile enjoy the ride."
