Magna Entertainment Names new CEO
(Canada).- Canada-based horse racetrack manager Magna Entertainment Corp. said late Tuesday it named Michael Neuman as its chief executive.

Neuman succeeds Chairman Frank Stronach, who had served as the company’s interim CEO since March 2006. According to Magna, he has been an adviser to Stronach for the past several months.
Before joining Magna, Neuman was most recently president and chief operating officer of EchoStar, which operates the DISH satellite TV network.
Stronach will remain as the company’s chairman.
