PartyGaming sees profit over us$ 140 million

(UK).- PartyGaming Chief Executive Mitch Garber said he expected the online gaming group to report full-year profit of over us$ 140 million, despite a setback in Internet gaming from a US clampdown.

He did not specify which profit figure he was talking about. PartyGaming has seen its profit hit by efforts in the United States to try to ban online gaming and is trying to move out of the risky market.

Garber said on Thursday he hoped to expand the company’s international presence with deals in Russia and Asian countries like China. PartyGaming reported net profit of us$ 293 million in 2005.
