GLI to present its 6th Annual Regulators Roundtable

In addition to the seminars, the Roundtable provides a forum for regulators to network and discuss ideas with their peers from across jurisdictions. The event also features live demonstrations and a tour of GLI's new, expanded lab.

The Roundtable takes place February 7-9 at the Tuscany Suites & Casino in Las Vegas and is presented free of charge to state and tribal regulators. The first two days consist of seminars, and the final day is reserved for an in-depth tour of GLI's new Las Vegas lab facilities. GLI is anticipating 200 attendees, and more than 150 people have already registered.

GLI President and co-founder James R. The purpose of the Roundtable is to familiarize regulators with the new technologies and the impact they will be having on regulations in their jurisdictions. No other lab anywhere in the world offers this service to their clients, and GLI is proud to stage this event free of charge.”

This year's Roundtable will feature a mix of GLI staff and guest speakers. Topics addressed by GLI staff are “Advanced Game Concepts,” “Advances in Server-based Gaming,” “Electronic Table Games,” “GLI Regulatory Portal Update,” “The Modern Networked Casino Floor,” “Regulatory Impact of Advanced Protocols” and “Wireless Handheld Gaming.”

Guest speaking is Jay Walker, whose R&D laboratory, Walker Digital created priceline.com as well as hundreds of other non-Internet inventions in the gaming, lottery, vending, retail and finance sectors. Walker will address “Guaranteed Play” a new way to purchase slot play being introduced to the casino industry this year through IGT.

Other topics covered by additional industry speakers are “Cash Systems/IVIEW,” “Electronic Table Games,” “Server-based Applications,” “Slot Audit Mathematics,” “Smart Card Technology,” “Wireless Handless Gaming,” “Wickets,” and “Wireless Handheld Gaming.” Topics are subject to change.
