Harrah's and DEQ have recently concluded and disclosed a national patent license for this no commission Baccarat method and this first installed table will serve as the 90 day trial. Gerald Tuthill, Harrah's VP Table Games stated: "We are very pleased to be conducting the no commission baccarat trial at the Paris Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. We chose Paris as the first site because of its reputation for the high volume of baccarat players and its visibility on the Las Vegas Strip."
Earle G. Hall, DEQ's President & CEO stated: "Having Harrah's for the EZ Baccarat trial is very exciting for this recurring revenue product rollout. Harrah's is recognized as an industry leader and continues to lead the way in new table game development across its casino brands. Future versions of this patented method of increasing baccarat revenue and casino profit include electronic side betting as well as other innovative technological add-ons."
EZ Baccarat makes the commission disappear without changing the nature and spirit of this very successful table game. It only replaces the taking of the 5% commission on every winning bank hand by "barring" one specific winning bank hand: a three card total of seven called the "Dragon 7". Players can make an insurance bet, called the "Dragon 7" bet that pays 40 to 1 when the three card winning bank hand occurs.
