The property opened under its new name, Bally’s Casino Evansville, on Wednesday morning with playing cards, dice, poker chips and more elements to show its rebranding over the coming months. This follows Bally's acquisition of the casino in June, including its sports betting operations.

Following Bally’s Corp.’s acquisition of the Cesar Entertainment venue in June, the Tropicana Evansville casino prepares to launch with a new name on Wednesday. The property will now be known as Bally’s Casino Evansville.

Valued at $480 million, Bally’s purchased the casino for $140 million, which included the rights to sports betting operations. An affiliate of Gaming & Leisure Properties acquired the real estate associated with the casino for $340 million and is now leasing it to Bally’s for $28 million  a year.

Bally’s Casino Evansville opened Wednesday at 8 a.m., and the rebranding will now be visible not only in the property but also on playing cards, dice, poker chips and elsewhere over the coming months.

The casino features 79,000 square feet of space, including 45,000 square feet of casino floor, four restaurants, a race and sportsbook along with 11,000 square feet of convention space adjacent to the casino and a Riverfront Event Center across the street. It also includes a 243-room hotel tower and 95-room boutique hotel.

Back in June, when the company purchased Evansville Casino, George Papanier, President and Chief Executive Officer of Bally's Corporation, said in an official press release: "The Tropicana Evansville acquisition closing marks another major accomplishment in what has already been a truly remarkable year for Bally's. As we continue to implement our growth and diversification strategy with precision, we are excited to welcome the Tropicana Evansville into the Bally's family and look forward to the opportunity to provide our first-in-class land-based and interactive entertainment offerings to the Indiana gaming market."
