"TVBET has great expectations in the Latin American market"

In an exclusive interview with Yogonet, TVBet's new Business Development Manager explained how the company's regional development has been and described Brazil and Argentina as the two markets with the most potential for the online gaming industry.

"

I joined TVBet a little over two months ago and this is a sign of the interest the company has in the Latin American market. There are great expectations. They have asked us for information in all the continent's countries, Central America, Peru, Brazil. In the Peruvian market we already have operators offering our services," said the Business Development Manager for LatAm of TVBet, William Lozano Castañeda, who described the "good result obtained by sports betting during the pandemic" as the kickstart for the company he represents to focus on the region: "From there onwards TVBet did not stop, it grew very well statistically, and realized that Latin America is a very interesting market."

Regarding the local markets, he assured that "Brazil is very interesting," since "it is a continent on its own regarding the number of people" and "has economic power," although he warned that "things are not yet clear because each state is different." "I do not agree to favor large companies that have more financial muscle, which are the ones who will have the opportunity to obtain licenses and limit the number of operators. Although I do not know if this will be the case in Brazil," he said.

"Argentina is a very interesting market, but there are certain things that must be measured in detail. I am concerned about international transfers, it is a country that is hungry for foreign exchange. It will be complicated due to the fluctuation of the dollar, but each company will know how to solve it. We are very interested because the country handles payment cards, it has more per capita access to the internet than Colombia. It is another market, and we are in the plan of registering as providers," explained Castañeda, who also announced that they are in talks with a local platform that could offer the services of TVBet, although it clarified that they have not yet "signed any agreement."

Regarding Latin America, he also pointed out the Colombian regulator: "Coljuegos continues to be an example for the region, it has the best-regulated system in Latin America."

When it comes to business, the regional representative of TVBet recognizes that they have different ways of working and partnering with their clients. "Each partner or collaborator is different. We are quite flexible. In economic terms, we rely on a percentage depending on the traffic and what each operator can highlight from our games and the priority they give them," explained Lozano Castañeda. "Of the twelve games we have, eight are GLI certified. They are of very good quality and resolution, some with three levels of jackpots, which more than one competitor does not have," he added, talking about the company's offering.

"The online player is different from the usual player. He is a step above because the one who used to go to a land-based space is not the same as the one who plays on the computer, due to age. The in-person player has adapted to the online modality, but the online player hasn't adapted to in-person gaming because there has been no possibility to do so. He is a new user," he said, reflecting on the new modalities and the new scope of the gaming industry.
