s per request of several companies that confirmed their participation in the first edition of GAT Virtual Expo, organizers 3A Producciones and Penta Pro announced that the virtual fair, originally scheduled for September, will be held on October 13, 14 and 15.
Amid the ongoing changes brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, the cancellation of gaming industry live events around the world and the adjustment process undergone by suppliers and operators of land-based and online gaming platforms, the creators of the FADJA fair, today rebranded as GAT Gaming & Technology Expo in its virtual version, made the decision to move the dates of GAT Virtual Expo to the last quarter of the year.
"We know that the changes of dates can cause discomfort,” said José Aníbal Aguirre, CEO of 3A Producciones. “However, global companies interested in the event have asked us to reschedule, taking into account the end of the summer in the northern hemisphere and in Europe as they find it more convenient. We are convinced that the platform chosen will offer a unique opportunity for a quality meeting between the leaders of an industry that does not stop and innovate permanently. We have taken this suggestion into account and therefore it has been decided that GAT Virtual Expo will be held from 13 to 15 October."
The scope of this show goes beyond the formats of webinars and digital events that have been taking place in the world during this period of social distancing. The features and interactivity of VirtWay allow GAT Virtual Expo to develop content across all levels: virtual exhibition with stands from which products and services can be presented graphically and in documents, corporate conferences, masterclasses by Totally Gaming Academy, business roundtables focused on seven Latin American countries, and auditoriums equipped to accommodate up to 500 attendees identified by personalized avatars.
For companies and executives encouraged by the possibility of doing real business in a virtual space, the organization continues to offer guided tours of the platform so that they can learn about the features and possibilities of the stage, in a pedagogical exercise that has been taking place on Fridays at 9 am (Colombia time). Some statements from high executives of the sector confirm the interest in GAT Virtual Expo. "This is a very innovative platform. As in a game, it integrates very well in a virtual way the social component that is so important in a physical fair. It is a tool with a lot of potential," said Tomás Mieles, Sales Director for LATAM of Merkur Gaming and GM Peru, who participated in one of the guided tours.
