In a press release issued Monday, Skagit Tribe announced the reopening to the public of its Skagit Valley Casino Resort in Bow, at 5984 Darrk Lane, which occurred Wednesday, June 24th at 10:00 am.

The reopening —at 30 percent capacity and with new safety measures in place— follows similarly limited reopenings at the Nooksack Tribe’s Northwood Casino near Lynden and the Lummi Nation’s Silver Reef Casino Resort in Ferndale.

Guests at the Skagit Valley Casino Resort must now wear masks, show a valid identification card and have their temperature checked before entering, the Bellingham Herald reports. The casino has also prepared a virtual queue system to manage how many guests may enter as needed, the release said.

During its 100-day closure, the casino added glass or plexiglass barriers at the casino cages, Rewards Club, retail and food outlets. The casino also placed plexiglass between slot machines to separate guests. However, the tabletop games will be temporarily closed to guests, according to the release.

The Skagit Ridge Hotel and The Skagit Hotel remain closed, however the casino anticipates opening these two hotels in the near future, the release said.

The buffet service is also closed and has been replaced with a grab-and-go restaurant offering burgers, wings, sandwiches, fries and daily specials. The restaurant will operate daily between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m. Desserts, coffee drinks and sweets will be offered from 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., according to the release.

Smoking is not be permitted on the property except within a designated player’s smoking area in the Winners Lounge, the release said.

The casino has limited its open hours from 10 a.m. to midnight.
