The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) has decided to serve Join Games Malta Limited with a “Notice of Cancellation” dated 20 April 2020 in terms of regulation 12 of the Gaming Compliance and Enforcement Regulations.
According to the MGA, the company has failed to comply with applicable obligations following the non-submission of the key function roles list within the stipulated time and the failure to inform the Authority of the change in directorship occurring within the company, specifically, when Mr. Hans Magnus Kolaas was appointed as Director with effective date being June 13th, 2019 and Mr. Luigi Spina resigned from the said post held by him on the same day.
Join Games Malta Limited, MGA says, has also failed to pay in a timely manner all amounts due to the Authority.
The Authority is now requesting the company to show cause as to why the relevant authorization should not be canceled. If Join Games Malta Limited fails to exercise the right to show cause as to why the Authorisation should not be canceled, the Authority may proceed with the cancellation of the Authorisation.
