espite having the experience and support of its parent company, EGT, EGT Interactive is new in the online gaming landscape. Could you describe EGT Interactive's journey in Latin America? What are the key milestones in the company's evolution?
Although we are a relatively new company in online gaming, our games are not. As part of our business plan, we decided to transfer our best land-based titles to online. Due to our strong presence in the land-based casinos in LATAM, we have considered the best performing games in order to offer them to the online casinos in the region. And of course, we also improved them to the latest technological novelties.
In terms of business integrations, one of our biggest partners for land-based operations in the region also operate online casinos, so as a natural extension of our business relationships, we have offered them our solutions for their online casinos. In the last 2 years, since we began offering our online games in the region, we have been able to enter on big and successful markets, such as Mexico and Colombia, where we currently work with several operators and finishing up the integration process with some of the biggest ones.
Why have you decided to exhibit at SAGSE for the second year in the row?
SAGSE is one of the biggest exhibits in LATAM, which makes it a must for us. Along with EGT, we were here to present our business solutions, and exhibit our all-time favorite HOT games, as long as the fun-loving character game titles and the Bonus games Jackpot cards.
We believe that it is important to reach out to the client, and since SAGSE is held within one of the hottest places for gaming right now, it is the right choice to be here. The City of Buenos Aires’ decision to regulate online gaming will wake up a dormant giant, which can cause a ripple effect in other provinces, we hope. In the case of the neighboring Province of Buenos Aires, we are on the sidelines waiting to see to who and when will the licenses be granted. Argentina in general has a big potential, and exhibitions like SAGSE help boost the idea of regulating.
Egypt Quest was your big launch at G2E. When will this game be available to Latin American operators?
Egypt Quest is a successful jackpot solution that has been transferred from our land-based offerings, and we expect to achieve the same results in the online, too. It was presented for the first time at G2E and it is already available for Latam, in fact, we already received so many inquiries about Egypt Quest.
How would you assess EGT Interactive games' performance in Colombia so far?
Colombia is the most emerging online market in LATAM right now. Not only have they proven that in a short time they could properly regulate the sector, but also that they could profit from it: operators, clients and the regulator. For us, Colombia is an excellent market, in terms of current results and potential offerings. After the success of Zamba, now we are live with Luckia, one of the biggest international operators. We are in the process of few new integrations and hoping to see the Colombian market becoming stronger each year.
What are the company’s plans for next year?
In 2020, we will continue to follow our strategy for growth and development. We are looking towards adding more exciting titles and features to our game portfolio and entering some newly-regulated markets. Our partners – current and new ones, will remain a number one priority for us and we will make sure to continue to provide them and their base of players with great content, service, and support.
