Less than 24-hours after the marketing campaign in support of CPZ 2020 went live, organizers Clarion Gaming had received sponsorship contributions totaling £15,000 with £5,000 pledged by 888 Holdings, Kindred Group and Videoslots.

ICE London's Consumer Protection Zone (CPZ), which in 2020 will enjoy an enhanced location on the show floor and a footprint that’s up 30 percent year-on-year, is attracting strong support from the industry, organizer Clarion Gaming says.

All proceeds from the sponsorship will go to a gambling charity nominated by the sponsors and announced prior to the opening of ICE London 2020.

Reflecting on the swift response to what will be the third edition of the Consumer Protection Zone held as part of ICE London, Ewa Bakun, Director of Industry Insight and Engagement at Clarion Gaming, said: "We have got off to a fantastic start and I am confident that we can match and hopefully exceed the total of £35,000 which we were able to present to the Gordon Moody Association in February 2019.

"Based on the feedback from 2019, we have moved the location of the Consumer Protection Zone to a new area in hall N1 which is the first hall as visitors enter from Custom House DLR station. It is right by the VIP Lounge which is a prime location guaranteeing high-density traffic, in particular of ICE London’s C-Level attendees who use the lounge. The Zone will also be significantly bigger giving us more space to accommodate visitors and exhibitors."

Ewout Wierda, General Counsel at Videoslots.com believes the Consumer Protection Zone has become a key feature of the ICE London experience.  He explained: "Social responsibility is a cornerstone of building customer trust and is integrated into our business. We aim to be industry leaders in offering safe transparent, fair and social entertainment. Likewise, the Consumer Protection Zone makes social responsibility a natural part of business when the industry meets at ICE London. We gladly support putting social responsibility at the heart of the industry."

The Gordon Moody Association, which used the CPZ sponsorship fund to add more languages to its Gambling Therapy service and to increase its weekend support, believes ICE London provides an important platform for the social responsibility debate. Rob Mabbett, Gambling Therapy Manager at Gordon Moody, confirmed: "It is great to hear that more space is being given to the CPZ this year and a more prominent location has been agreed. Sustainable and Safer Gambling needs to be at the heart of every aspect of the gambling sector and ICE London provides a unique environment for all parts of the industry to come together. The donation we received at ICE earlier this year enabled us to add Polish and Russian speaking advisors resulting in more people throughout the world being able to benefit from our unique multi-lingual service.

"For the Gordon Moody Association, it is an important event as we look to develop existing relationships with the industry as well as forge new ones. For our International service, Gambling Therapy, ICE London provides us with an opportunity to network with the global gaming community helping us reach and support more and more people worldwide each year. We very much look forward to 'stepping into the future' with the industry at ICE London 2020"
