The Expo Hall opens today with nearly 400 exhibitors and over 100 product launches

G2E kicks off with new technology and larger room for sports betting

This year's edition presents Roundtable Talks for Leadership, Tech, FinTech and Sports Betting sessions in addition to its traditional Education sessions. A brand-new G2E Mobile App offers booth-to-booth GPS and attendee-to-attendee messaging, and touch screen kiosks are located throughout the show floor. G2E Hot Hits is a real-time ranking of exhibitors who are launching products and services at the event. The Sports Betting Symposium and Innovation Lab are focal points in Las Vegas.

Global Gaming Expo (G2E) Las Vegas, presented by the American Gaming Association (AGA) and organized by Reed Exhibitions, officially begins today at the Sand Expo with more than 90 new exhibitors, amounting to a total of 384 exhibitors, and over 100 new product launches.

New for this year, G2E 2019 presents Roundtable Talks for Leadership, Tech, FinTech and Sports Betting sessions in addition to its traditional Education sessions, which already began Monday and will run through Thursday, October 17, along with the Expo Hall. See full G2E 2019 Schedule.

Available on any Apple or Android device, the G2E Mobile App, powered by Konami, provides booth-to-booth GPS and attendee-to-attendee messaging, allowing to navigate to G2E’s exhibitors highlighted on the map. It also supplies education session details and personalized exhibitor, session and product recommendations, the full exhibitor list, important show information and a personalized ‘My Show’ planner.

Also new this year, G2E has placed touch screen kiosks located throughout the show floor as another way to easily and quickly find directions within the hall. The large-format, interactive screen displays and custom content includes education session recommendations, exhibitor lists, maps and key locations.

G2E is also introducing the all-new G2E Hot Hitsa real-time ranking of exhibitors who are launching products and services at the event. Each exhibitor will have a unique QR code on display in their booth, available for guests to scan with the G2E Mobile App and vote for the exhibitor with their favorite new product or service. The Hot Hits Leaderboard will update in real-time to rank the top ten exhibitors featuring new products. The mobile app will also continually update so attendees can see who they voted for and who other visitors voted for.

She added this year’s educational content focuses on “disruption, spotlighting the convergence of technology with gaming and innovative thinking that has been the foundation of our industry. Over the course of four days, education attendees will have the opportunity to ­­­­­­­participate in any of the nine education tracks, ranging from iGaming Congress, Optimizing Gaming Operations, to Security, Surveillance and Compliance.”

This year, Global Gaming Women’s educational track will have a series of panels on October 15 and 16, and they are fully integrated into G2E’s primary Educational Track programming, allowing for more attendees to learn from GGW’s robust roster of experienced panelists.

Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, a vocal advocate for legal sports betting who led the charge to overturn the federal ban, will deliver a keynote address, titled “How New Jersey Fought the Feds and Won,” which will take place Tuesday, Oct. 15, at 9 a.m. PT on the Special Events Stage.

Compared to last year, there are an additional 12 sports betting exhibitors. Together, with returning exhibitors, and in increase of 4,000 square feet, or 17,000 total of exhibit space is dedicated to sports betting.

This year’s Sports Betting Symposium will feature exclusive sessions on innovative business strategies, as well as accompanying educational content, access to sports betting exhibitors and top industry speakers at the forefront of sports betting globally. Gary Bettman, Commissioner of the National Hockey League (NHL) will discuss new business partnerships with Joe Asher, CEO of William Hill US; Greg Carlin, CEO of Rush Street Gaming; and Matthew King, CEO of FanDuel. “Executive Viewpoints: NHL Commissioner Bettman and Leading Gaming Executives Discuss New Business Partnerships” session will be taking place on Wednesday, October 16 at 10:30 a.m. PT on the Special Events Stage.

Now in its fourth year, the Innovation Lab, located at Booth #5833, will have sessions taking place from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday. This year’s program is organized across the following themes to address the ever-changing demographic of the game goer: Disruptive technology (Tuesday, Oct. 15); New uses for existing technology (Wednesday, Oct. 16); and Emerging trends (Thursday, Oct. 17).

The Global Gaming Awards Las Vegas 2019 presentation ceremony was held Monday at the Sands Expo Convention Center, with 12 official Award Sponsors, BetConstruct as the Lead Partner, and powered by Gambling Insider in association with G2E.

G2E’s partnership with National Center for Responsible Gaming (NCRG) will be reflected this year as the event promoted an exhibitor-led Fun Run, The Return to Player (RTP) 5k Fun Run for Responsible Gaming, powered by Novomatic and supported by G2E, AGA and AGEM. First of its kind during G2E, took place on Monday at the Springs Preserve, and it raised money for NCRG research programs.
