Boyd Gaming and FanDuel launch four sportsbooks in Indiana and Iowa

The openings follow the debut of the FanDuel Sportsbook at Boyd Gaming's Valley Forge Casino Resort in Pennsylvania as well as the companies' launch of mobile sports betting across that state. The two companies also plan to introduce mobile sports products under in both Iowa and Indiana.

Boyd Gaming Corporation and FanDuel Group announced Monday the debut of FanDuel Sportsbooks at four Boyd Gaming properties: Blue Chip Casino Hotel and Spa in Michigan City, Indiana; Diamond Jo Casino in Dubuque, Iowa; Diamond Jo Casino in Northwood, Iowa; and Belterra Casino Resort in Florence, Indiana.

The openings follow the debut of the FanDuel Sportsbook at Boyd Gaming's Valley Forge Casino Resort in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, in March, as well as the companies' launch of mobile sports betting across that state in July.  In the coming months, the two companies also plan to introduce mobile sports products under the FanDuel brand in both Iowa and Indiana, pending the receipt of required regulatory approvals.

In honor of the kick-off of the 2019-20 professional football season, Boyd Gaming and FanDuel celebrated their newest retail sportsbooks with ceremonial first bets placed by four retired football stars: Chicago Hall of Fame linebacker Brian Urlacher (Blue Chip); Green Bay star wide receiver and world champion Antonio Freeman (Diamond Jo Dubuque); Minnesota Hall of Fame defensive end John Randle (Diamond Jo Worth); and Cincinnati's legendary quarterback Ken Anderson (Belterra Resort).

FanDuel Sportsbook at Diamond Jo Casino in Northwood, Iowa

The grand opening of the partnership’s first retail sportsbook in the state of Iowa took place August 29, as Football Hall of Famer and Minnesota sports legend John Randle placed the ceremonial first bet as part of a ribbon-cutting ceremony. 

The FanDuel Sportsbook features three betting windows, six video displays including a large video wall, 11 self-service IGT PlaySports betting kiosks and one sports ticker. FanDuel provides its proprietary risk and trading technology that leverages the IGT PlaySports platform. It offers bets on all major U.S. sports, including baseball, soccer, football, basketball, golf, boxing, motorsports racing, and more.

FanDuel Sportsbook at Diamond Jo Casino in Dubuque, Iowa

The grand opening of Boyd Gaming and FanDuel’S second retail sportsbook in that state was held at Diamond Jo Casino in Dubuque on September 4.

The FanDuel Sportsbook opened to the public today at noon, one day ahead of the kick-off of the 2019-20 professional football season. Legendary Green Bay wide receiver Antonio Freeman placed the ceremonial first bet as part of a ribbon-cutting ceremony. 

It is located near the south entrance of Diamond Jo Casino’s floor and features four betting windows, 14 video displays including a large video wall, nine self-service IGT PlaySports betting kiosks and three sports tickers.

FanDuel Sportsbook at Blue Chip Casino, Hotel & Spa in Indiana

The official debut of the FanDuel Sportsbook at Boyd Gaming’s Blue Chip Casino, Hotel & Spa in Michigan City, Indiana took place September 5. Hall of Famer Brian Urlacher placed the ceremonial first wager, just hours before the kickoff of the 2019-20 professional football season.

FanDuel’s new sports betting retail location is located near the main entrance of Blue Chip, adjacent to the property’s sports bar, The Game. It features five betting windows, 13 video displays along a large video wall, 13 self-service IGT PlaySports betting kiosks, two sports tickers, and ample seating for sports bettors interested in watching the game from the sportsbook.

The partnership’s latest retail sportsbook and second in the state of Indiana opened its doors Monday, September 9, as legendary Cincinnati quarterback Ken Anderson placed the ceremonial first bet as part of a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

FanDuel’s new sports-betting retail location is located near the main entrance of Belterra’s casino floor. It features five betting windows, 14 video displays including a large video wall, 13 self-service IGT PlaySports betting kiosks and a sports ticker.

The partnership between Boyd Gaming and FanDuel Group includes collaborative efforts between the two companies in mobile and online sports betting and casino games, where permitted by law. The agreement includes states where Boyd Gaming holds gaming licenses, excluding Nevada, as well as additional states covered under Boyd Gaming's current market-access agreements.  Boyd Gaming currently has access in 15 states nationwide, representing more than 36% of the U.S. population.

In addition to their retail and online gaming partnership, Boyd Gaming and FanDuel are engaged in extensive co-branding and cross-promotional efforts, as the two companies actively market each other's properties and products to their respective customer bases nationwide.
