Within the framework of the Global Gaming Expo Asia, organizers hosted the 2019 edition of the G2E Asia Awards, where Galaxy Macau won the award for Best Integrated Resort for the second year in a row.

alaxy Macau has taken out the award for Best Integrated Resort for the second year in a row as well as the Best Gaming Floor award, claiming the prizes at a glitzy gala dinner at The Parisian Macau on Tuesday night. The awards ceremony took place during the second day of the 13th edition of Global Gaming Expo (G2E) Asia, which opened at the Venetian Macao grandly om Monday.

The event is kicking off with nearly 200 exhibitors, displaying new and cutting-edge products, solutions and technologies stretching across 34,000 square meters. It is estimated that the Expo will have welcomed more than 18,000 visitors from all major gaming operators and integrated resorts in Asia and abroad, once finished.

At the G2E Asia Awards, guests were treated to a night of world-class entertainment celebrating the outstanding contributions of not only gaming but also the non-gaming aspects of the entertainment industry in Asia.

The evening was hosted by IAG CEO Andrew W Scott and Reed Exhibitions President Michael Cheng.

The G2E Asia Awards were attended by representatives from all sectors of the gaming industry and key government dignitaries including Director of the Macao Government Tourism Office Maria Helena Senna de Fernandes; AmCham Macau Chairman Paul Tse; American Gaming Association CEO Bill Miller; Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers VP Robert Parente; Bloomberry Resorts Corporation President and COO Thomas Arasi; Sands China Ltd SVP Table Games and Gaming Optimization Andy Kobel; Melco Resorts & Entertainment EVP, Chief Officer, HR/Corporate Social Responsibility Akiko Takahashi; MGM China Holdings CFO Hubert Wang; Galaxy Entertainment Group COO Kevin Kelley; Sociedade de Jogos de Macau Secretary-General Dr Rui Cunha; Wynn Macau Ltd Non-executive Chairman Allan Zeman; Suncity Group Holdings Ltd Executive Director Andrew Lo; Meg-Star International CEO Ben Leong; and Rich Goldman CEO Nick Niglio.

A total of 12 awards categories were presented on the night with the winners representing a broad mix of the Asian gaming industry. The award winners were:

  • Best Electronic Gaming Solution (Slots and ETGs): Scientific Games – Jin Ji Bao Xi

  • Best Industry Innovation: GameSource (PIA) – Cloud-Based Gaming Platform
  • Best Gaming Floor: Galaxy Macau
  • Best Industry Rising Stars (Maximum of 5 Winners): Vicky Chan – Asia Pioneer Entertainment; Joji Kokuryo – BC Ventures; Wincan Leong – MGM China; Lloyd Robson – Aristocrat; Rishi Tirupari – Wynn Macau
  • Best Corporate Social Responsibility Contribution: Melco Resorts
