overnor Steve Sisolak announced Wednesday the future appointment of Sandra Douglass Morgan as the new chair of the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
"Sandra Douglass Morgan will be an incredible asset to the Gaming Control Board and I am proud to be able to appoint her as chair," he said. "Sandra’s extensive experience and record of leadership shows that she is not only qualified to chair the Nevada Gaming Control Board, but that she will excel at it as well."

“I want to thank Becky Harris for her service during her time as chair,” continued Gov. Sisolak. “And to recognize the incredible milestone her tenure marked as the first woman chair of the Board as well as her commitment to combatting sexual harassment and discrimination in Nevada’s gaming industry.”
Sandra Douglass Morgan, a native of Las Vegas, is the Director of External Affairs for AT&T Services, Inc. for southern Nevada and is responsible for managing AT&T’s legislative and community affairs activities. Previously, Morgan served as Litigation Attorney for one of the world’s largest gaming companies before serving as the City Attorney for the City of North Las Vegas. Morgan was the first African-American city attorney in Nevada.
