Representatives from Resorts World, headed by Martin Paz, vice president for marketing and communications, shared the latest news in the business' expanding portfolio of hospitality and entertainment options, the Guam Daily Post reports. He said it would be a good way to start 2019 by giving the Guam market an update on what’s new at Resorts World.
“RWM is a brand that has something for everybody. If you are a value-conscious traveler, a backpacker, we have something that is price-sensitive for you. If you are a business traveler, we have something for you.” Martin Paz, vice president for marketing and communications, Resorts World Manila
“We have expanded quite a bit and added a few hotels,” Paz said, adding, “We have opened our newest hotel in November last year, the Hilton Manila. We are opening another one again this month, the Sheraton Manila,” he said.
The opening of the Hilton in October 2018 added around 357 hotel rooms to Resorts World Manila's increasing portfolio. It anticipates opening the Hotel Okura, which would add around 192 rooms, later this year.
In addition, international hotel chain Holiday Inn Express recently opened the Holiday Inn Express Manila Newport City by taking over the Remington Hotel. Aside from Holiday Inn Express, another new addition to Resorts World’s value-for-money accommodations is the Savoy Hotel, a 684-room property with amenities that cater to travelers' practical needs.
For the luxury traveler, Resorts World offers the all-suite Maxims Hotel, which is slated to be transformed into the Philippines’ first Ritz-Carlton, according to Paz.
Resorts World caters to a broad demographic of customers from Guam, from the budget-conscious traveler to the luxury travel segment. Paz said Resorts World Manila also caters to Guam’s medical tourism market through its tie-up with St. Luke’s Medical Center.
“RWM is a brand that has something for everybody. If you are a value-conscious traveler, a backpacker, we have something that is price-sensitive for you. If you are a business traveler, we have something for you,” Paz said.
With these new additions, Resorts World now has more than 2,600 rooms and suites spread across several hotels within the integrated resort, entertainment and casino gaming complex.
“The vast array of choices assures that we can provide top-quality accommodation options for every preference, need and budget,” said Kathy Mercado, RWM senior director for sales and marketing.
“Our corporate clients in particular appreciate that they are guaranteed world-class service and signature Filipino hospitality in every hotel, every time,” Mercado said in a release.
Paz shared other conveniences for the Guam traveler. For those who are embarking from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport and in a hurry to check in at the resort, a connecting bridge called Runway Manila connects Terminal 3 to the resort and Newport City. Cebu Pacific has been operating out of NAIA’s Terminal 3. Runway Manila is a fully air-conditioned pedestrian link that provides guests quick access to the complex.
Paz said RWM has a free mobile app for the digital-savvy traveler. The app can be downloaded via Apple iTunes and Google Play. Through the app, travelers can check out current promotions and performance schedules at the various entertainment venues around the resort complex.
Aside from accommodations, guests also can enjoy a wide range of entertainment, dining and shopping options at the resort complex. It has around 50 dining options and an array of local and global retail brands.
RWM also is known for the Newport Performing Arts Theater, a world-class venue for concerts and musical productions.
