hat were your expectations for AGE?
As a first time exhibitor, BCIB Insurance Brokers came to the Australasian Gaming Expo (AGE) with an open mind but also a little bit of trepidation. After all, this was a big investment from our annual marketing budget and failure would mean having to sacrifice some of our other plans.
Were your expectations met?
Within an hour of opening on the first day our worries were eased as our stand was inundated with visits from both current and prospective clients. As an insurance broker predominantly to bowling clubs, having a few high profile lawn bowlers available to help us out proved to be a great attraction. BCIB Brand Ambassadors Steve Glasson (Australian Jackaroos Coach) and Karen Murphy (most-capped Jackaroos player) posed for photos and chatted with club representatives.
Why is it important for your company to exhibit in Australia?
Our decision to exhibit at the AGE was motivated by a desire to promote our refreshed branding and reaffirm our position as the #1 insurance broker to not-for-profit clubs in Australia. As the major sponsor of lawn bowls, we cycle a significant amount of money back to clubs as sponsorship. But it is not only bowling clubs who benefit from our personal service and expert advice – clubs of any kind can take advantage of our more than 30 years’ experience and bespoke product offering.
By close of the Expo on Thursday, we were thrilled with the outcome and committed to returning in 2019.
