At an event organized last week exclusively for clients in Buenos Aires, the company exhibited 56 machines and eight cabinets models. In an interview with Yogonet, Heutmekers described this product as "amazing".

GT's senior vice president for gaming in Latin America spoke with Yogonet after IGT Buenos Aires Showroom 2018, which included the regional debut of CrystalDual 27.

IGT organized two Showroom events this year: the first one in Montevideo, Uruguay; and then in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Still, it continues to participate in the main industry fairs in Latin America. Why do you choose this commercial approach?

In recent years, IGT has hosted many of the best showroom events in the continent, but with our last events in Argentina, Uruguay, and Peru, we went above and beyond. They allow us to offer our clients exclusive access to our complete portfolio of products, educational programs and everything IGT has to offer in the market. The industry fairs, in turn, provide a different dynamic and different relevance within a market. IGT values the importance of these shows and the different positions they occupy and will continue providing our support to them as long as their focus remains on casino operators and the positioning of gambling in a market.

Can you give us more details about the cabinet you presented in Buenos Aires?

Buenos Aires Showroom 2018 marked the debut, at a regional level, of the new CrystalDual 27 cabinet. This amazing cabinet has a 27-inch high-definition screen, a synchronized bank-level lighting option, a charging port for mobile devices and much more. The cabinet debuted with market-adapted versions of the Scarab and Mistress of Egypt titles.

The company has a growth strategy for Peru, Colombia, Chile, and Mexico. Could you mention the strategies you are implementing to outperform your competitors and increase your market share?

We are committed to supporting the continued growth of our customers and we trust that our content’s strength and the planned roadmap for our hardware will continue to attract players in the region. We are also making considerable progress towards locating our content and look forward to launching new titles for the CyrstalCurve cabinet with games such as Dreams of Egypt, All In and Ocean Magic Grand. The recent debut of the CrystalDual 27 cabinet with its content adapted to the local market marks a significant opportunity to increase our participation within the region.

What are the industry trends that will impact casinos during 2018?

The adoption of mobile technology for casino games continues to generate an impact throughout the industry since it gives operators the possibility to connect with players through their cell phones. Thanks to IGT's PlaySpot technology, players can play table and slot games and place sports bets with a single, easy-to-use application. In addition, PlaySpot can integrate with existing loyalty and customer program management platforms to create a truly seamless and continuous solution for players and operators.
