Shareholders who purchased the Codere debt have replaced the Martínez Sampedro family as managers of the gaming company, in favour of with Argentinian CEO Vicente di Loreto.
The multinational defaulted by the hundred millions of euros before bankruptcy, so that the shareholding fund led American-based Evermore -directed by Davis Marcus- decided to remove the founders.
January 12th onwards, José Antonio Martínez Sampedro and Luis Javier Martínez Sampedro will step away from their positions as President and VP of the Council of Management. Di Loreto was a member of the company until 2011, when he retired and founded the gaming-oriented consulting agency G3M Partners. Seven years later, Codere sees the return of the executive who will play the role of a global CEO for the company.
Codere, founded in Madrid in 1980, has been the winner of significant biddings in Mexico and Argentina.
